I moved from London to Hong Kong and learned first-hand what it takes to settle into life here.

Like most people moving somewhere new, I had a long list of things to figure out.

  • Which neighbourhood actually suited us?

  • Which area would help us build our network?

I realised there was plenty of help with the formal side of moving to Hong Kong, visas, shipping and relocation logistics. But once you arrive, there’s still a huge amount to work out.

Where to go, who to ask, and how to make a new city start to feel like home. Often, you are left to piece it together yourself.

I wanted to create the person I wish I’d had when I arrived.

Someone local. Someone practical. Someone with first-hand experience of navigating a move to Hong Kong.
